About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join NHS Scotland as a Midwifery Governance Specialist. As part of our Maternity Team, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while maintaining a safe and effective perinatal service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of quality control processes to ensure compliance with governance standards.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to implement principles of essential safety care.
  • Contribute to risk management and governance processes to maintain assurance of safety in perinatal services.
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced Midwife who possesses strong leadership skills and has achieved additional qualifications or transferable skills in quality control, planning, and improvement. Your expertise in implementing quality standards and collaborating with operational teams will be invaluable to our team.
