Job Description

SSE Enterprise is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our OT Security Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security of our digital systems.

About the Role

This permanent position offers a competitive salary of £45,700 - £68,000 per annum, plus performance-related bonus and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family. You will be based in one of our key Scotland sites, with flexibility to work from home.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in delivering operational security, governance risk and compliance, or penetration testing & exercising. A strong understanding of security management frameworks such as NCSC CAF, ISO 27001, NIST SP 800-53/NIST CSF or ISA/IEC 62443 is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing analysis of assessment of tooling outputs with a requirement to identify, interpret, classify and report perceived risk.
  • Managing the implementation of controls or remediation of any confirmed infringement of policies, standards or risk.
  • Tuning and documenting the appropriate technical or administrative processes relating to cyber security and risk.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering either for Operational Security, Governance Risk and Compliance or Penetration Testing & Exercising.
  • Experience with common security management frameworks, such as NCSC CAF, ISO 27001, NIST SP 800-53/NIST CSF or ISA/IEC 62443 and their application in an operational technology (OT) or utility environment.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Information Security/Computer Science/Risk Management/Information Technology/Engineering with experience on cyber security or risk management at an operations level.
