About the Role

SSE Enterprise is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Delivery Lead to join our Transmission Cyber Programme team. As a key member of our Digital Strategy and Vision, you will play a critical role in enhancing social and economic value, delivering a leading experience for our customers, and enabling the energy system to support net zero carbon emissions.

The Cyber Delivery Lead will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of one or more projects in our Cyber Resilience Programme for Operational Technology. This programme consists of over 53 projects totalling more than £30m in the RIIO-ED2 regulatory review period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the successful delivery of projects according to prescribed governance methodologies, ensuring project risks, issues, and dependencies are managed effectively.
  • Manage the product and delivery teams, and wider stakeholders as required, across the end-to-end product lifecycle to ensure that resultant systems/services deliver the specified outcomes, within budget and timescale, without introducing technical debt.
  • Work with delivery teams to ensure they are adopting and using appropriate methodologies and ceremonies effectively.
  • Management of third parties, reviewing their performance, ensuring alignment with SSE's ways of working and values, acting as a routine contact point between organisation and supplier.
  • Help protect SSE from cyberattack and data loss by following standards and instructions and by reporting risks and incidents.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Experience of leading, managing, and delivering complex IT and/or OT projects, demonstrating and meeting business value and outcomes.
  • Experience in applying various waterfall (e.g. Prince2, APM, PMP) and Agile methodologies and supporting context, such as governance, process, and culture across different levels of portfolio.
  • High-level knowledge of development processes, including but not limited to DevOps, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean development.
  • Experience of supporting budget and funding submissions, advocating for the correct level of funding to deliver against the products business and operational requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience with strong communication skills, including prioritising and influencing skills.
