We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Sonography Specialist to join our team at the Obstetric Ultrasound Department in Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.

Raigmore Hospital provides comprehensive maternity services to expectant mothers living in the Scottish Highlands, covering a vast rural area of 12,500 square miles with approximately 1,800 births per year.

Our team of six ultrasound sonographers conduct around 11,000 scans annually, maintaining high professional standards through peer review and quality assurance processes. We support one another as autonomous practitioners, prioritising exceptional service delivery and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing obstetric examinations, including small for gestational age babies screening, using state-of-the-art equipment such as Voluson E10 machines. Our workload encompasses various specialisms, including EPAU, fetal medicine, maternal medicine, twins, and advanced ANC's.

In this role, you will require both midwifery qualifications and a minimum Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Ultrasound, demonstrating expertise in obstetric ultrasound practices. You must stay up-to-date with industry developments, participate in audits, teaching, and mentorship opportunities, and produce accurate diagnostic reports for clinicians.

This full-time position offers flexibility, with part-time hours considered on a case-by-case basis.
