Searcys is seeking an Events Sales and Marketing Professional to work across multiple venues.
As the UK's oldest British caterer, Searcys has a rich history dating back to 1847. The company was founded by John Searcy, who began his career as the confectioner for the Duke of Northumberland before establishing the go-to events company in London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and converting sales enquiries and opportunities for the venues. Working towards the venues' monthly and quarterly budget, profitability targets, and deadlines, they will work with the team to maximise all revenue opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and convert venue enquiries and sales opportunities of the Sales & Events Department.
- Generate and contribute sales, achieving venues' monthly, quarterly, and annual budget and profitability targets.
- Maximise all revenue opportunities for both The Royal College of Surgeons and Searcys.
- Co-ordinate commercial and internal events within the venue.
- Provide clients with the highest level of Searcys customer service and innovation, supported by detailed event sheets to ensure accurate delivery of client expectations.
- Manage and increase conversion of venue sales enquiries and revenue potential opportunities.
- Support client account development and lead key projects through the seasonal calendar.
- Ensure correct allocation of rooms/suites and correspondence/deadlines within agreed timeframes.
- Create, complete, and take ownership of all Banqueting Event Orders (BEOs) detailing all event requirements from start to finish.
- Ensure that all BEO correspondence is dealt with promptly and communicated effectively to departments and partners.
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience within a similar role.
- Meticulous administration and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent communication skills (internally and externally).
- Proactive and excellent time management.
- Fluent or bilingual proficiency in English.
