About This Opportunity

This is an exceptional chance for a driven and proactive individual to join our Markets and Treasury Operations team as a Data and Process Optimization Expert who is passionate about simplifying and automating our processes and controls.

The Markets & Treasury Operations teams focus on all Markets trade settlement activities for Lloyds Banking Group, processing all trading activity in a seamless, efficient, and controlled manner, enhancing our customer experience. Our aim is to build a world-leading settlement function that adds value to our customer base by leveraging our resources and partnering with market leaders in automation and AI.

You'll be responsible for designing solutions to enhance the processing of trade settlements, and delivering increased scalability and efficiency. It's essential to have knowledge of markets product life cycles and be comfortable designing innovative data-led solutions that maximize automation. Having a good understanding of the process required to develop and deploy solutions into a business environment will also be key.

You'll work closely with colleagues to understand the core components of complex processes, and deliver innovative and simple solutions that both improve straight-through processing via automation, while minimizing operational risk. Understanding data flows within end-to-end processes, and how data can be ingested, transformed, validated, and processed will be crucial to delivering highly automated, low-risk processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build optimal solutions for subsequent automation within Xceptor, a data and process automation tool.
  • Collaborate and engage with colleagues to understand complex processes and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Map out processes and data flows to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Apply data management and processing principles to optimize straight-through processing.
  • Document complex business requirements and create innovative solutions to maximize process automation.
  • Experience of applying 'Control by Design' to support the delivery of robust and optimal controls within a process to minimize operational risk.
  • Understanding of Xceptor, its key attributes, functionality, and limitations.
  • Experience of the change process from design to deployment within a post-trade environment.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Excellent track record for delivery to timescales and effective management of risks and issues.
  • Strong transformation background and track record of delivering process change/optimization to a high standard.
  • Strong problem-solving skills using a combination of business and technical knowledge, experience, and judgment to identify available options and clearly set out the way forward.
  • Show well-developed interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Experience of collaborating with existing process operators to elicit key process challenges/requirements and develop robust solutions that drive measurable enhancements.
