JOB OVERVIEW

The Process Improvement Engineer will spearhead efforts to enhance and sustain quality and productivity within our manufacturing operations and supply chain.

The role involves being a specialized troubleshooter and an analytical thinker who will pinpoint root causes and develop effective corrective measures.

This position is situated within the Quality Assurance division but will initially integrate into a cross-functional manufacturing team dedicated to a specific product line.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct thorough investigations to identify root causes of supply chain or manufacturing challenges, including hands-on assessments when necessary.
  • Propose modifications to product BOM, drawings, or related documentation to minimize non-conformance report (NCR) rates as required.
  • Advise on potential changes to product design or specifications to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality.
  • Execute corrective actions and ensure comprehensive implementation.
  • Create tools for ongoing process monitoring to drive optimal efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to our Quality Management System (QMS) and relevant quality standards.
  • Support the QA/QC team during audits and process enhancement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for improving efficiency, reducing costs, or enhancing product quality.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance of products and processes with applicable industry quality or health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
  • Recommend process enhancements that contribute to improved business performance.
  • The Process Improvement Engineer embodies the roles of engineer, problem solver, data analyst, efficiency expert, quality steward, and safety advocate.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in the manufacturing of oilfield-related pressure-retaining equipment, such as flowlines, valves, or pressure control devices.
  • Experience in manufacturing safety-critical products within a regulated environment.
  • Exceptional proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Skilled in engineering tools such as CAD and PLM.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong mathematical, engineering, and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to unite stakeholders from various departments and locations to achieve consensus and common objectives.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Awareness of both internal and external customer requirements.
  • Ability to navigate and overcome resistance to change.
  • High enthusiasm and commitment to the role.
