JOB OVERVIEW

The Process Improvement Engineer will spearhead efforts to enhance and sustain quality and productivity within our manufacturing operations and supply chain.

This role requires a specialist in troubleshooting and analysis, focusing on identifying underlying issues and formulating effective corrective measures.

Although positioned within the Quality Assurance department, the Process Improvement Engineer will initially integrate into a multidisciplinary manufacturing team dedicated to a specific product line.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct thorough investigations to pinpoint root causes of supply chain or manufacturing challenges, utilizing hands-on approaches when necessary.
  • Propose modifications to product BOM, drawings, or related documentation to mitigate NCR rates as required.
  • Suggest alterations to product design or specifications aimed at enhancing manufacturing efficiency and quality.
  • Execute corrective actions and ensure comprehensive implementation.
  • Develop tools for ongoing process monitoring to drive optimal efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to our Quality Management System (QMS) and associated quality standards.
  • Support the QA/QC team with audits and process enhancement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for improving efficiency, reducing costs, or elevating product quality.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance of products and processes with relevant industry quality or HSE standards.
  • Recommend process enhancements that contribute to superior business performance.
  • The Process Improvement Engineer embodies the roles of engineer, problem solver, data analyst, efficiency expert, quality guardian, and safety advocate.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in the manufacturing of oilfield-related pressure-retaining equipment, including flowlines, valves, or pressure control devices.
  • Experience in manufacturing safety-critical products within a regulated environment.
  • Exceptional proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Skilled in engineering tools such as CAD and PLM.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong mathematical, engineering, and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to unite stakeholders from various departments and locations to achieve consensus and common objectives.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Awareness of internal and external customer requirements.
  • Ability to navigate and overcome resistance to change.
  • High enthusiasm and commitment to the role.
