Patient Services Coordinator

Job Summary:
University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking highly motivated and proactive individuals to fill the role of Patient Administrator. This position is vital to the smooth running of our services and has a significant impact on our patients' experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring a comprehensive and efficient service.
- Manage the booking of appointments, letters, and actions from outpatient clinics, and facilitate the flow of information between clinicians and support services.
- Work closely with consultants and other teams to provide a high-quality administration service.
- Develop strong relationships with patients, healthcare professionals, and external providers.
- Provide cross-cover for other patient pathway coordinators to ensure a consistent and effective administration service.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize workload.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft systems and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Empathy and tact when dealing with difficult situations.
