About the Role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Private Patient/Overseas Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, coordinating private patient and overseas services for the Trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, process, and bill overseas patients
  • Identify, process, and bill private patients
  • Report all private patient/overseas data to the Trust for billing purposes
  • Support the Operational Manager and Operational Team Leader to deliver income targets to the Trust
  • Support in the provision of training and education across the Trust for private patients and overseas services
  • Ensure all guidelines, policies, and procedures are adhered to
  • Resolve complex issues relating to private patient and overseas services, including minor disputes and complaints

Requirements

  • 5 GCSE (or equivalent) passes, grades A - C, including English & Maths
  • Finance, IT, or business administration qualification to level 4 (AAT Technician) or able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge, skills, and experience
  • Working as part of a team
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge and experience, including using pivot tables and MS Access databases
  • Experience of producing performance management information or financial reports
  • Experience in data manipulation, statistical, interpretive, and analytical skills with complex datasets
  • Experience of working in a finance environment
  • Experience in raising invoices using finance systems
