About the Role
As a key member of the University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust team, you will play a vital role in the coordination of private patient and overseas services. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, process, and bill overseas patients, ensuring accurate and timely payment.
- Process and bill private patients, maintaining accurate records and adhering to trust policies.
- Report private patient and overseas data to the trust for billing purposes, providing valuable insights for revenue growth.
- Support the Operational Manager and Operational Team Leader in delivering income targets, driving business growth and expansion.
- Contribute to the provision of training and education across the trust, sharing expertise and best practices in private patient and overseas services.
- Ensure adherence to guidelines, policies, and procedures, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Resolve complex issues related to private patient and overseas services, including minor disputes and complaints, providing excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with other hospitals within the trust as required, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach.
- Knowledge of private patient and overseas services at UHS, including policies and procedures.
- Experience with NHS patient systems and revenue cycle management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex spreadsheets and data.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, with a forward-thinking approach to business growth and development.
