Strategic Services Account Manager

Amazon's Strategic Account Services (SAS) program aims to enhance the customer and Selling Partner experience on Amazon by collaborating directly with Selling Partners to improve value, selection, and convenience across their business. The SAS team leverages data-driven, collaborative, and customer-focused approaches to support Selling Partners in achieving their goals. We invent and innovate across technology, processes, and people to grow the program and enable scalable global solutions through direct cooperation with worldwide teams.
The SAS program seeks a dynamic and motivated Marketplace Consultant to work with a group of Selling Partners, offering support on launching new programs, exploring Amazon's marketing tools, advising on account strategy, and selecting listings. The consultant will develop and convert a sales pipeline using a highly consultative and data-driven approach, onboard and build long-term relationships with key decision-makers, and develop processes, tools, and content for this service.
The ideal candidate will excel at influencing external stakeholders, possess consulting and account management skills, have a track record of taking initiatives and using data and tools to drive business growth, implementing process improvements, and scaling up programs. They will be comfortable operating in an ambiguous environment.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Create and articulate compelling value propositions around the SAS program and service offerings.
- Identify, qualify, and engage with prospective Selling Partners based on a clear understanding of our Selling Partners and their needs.
- Manage a portfolio of Selling Partners to drive individual strategies, manage timelines, expectations, and owning communications, leveraging a strong understanding of Amazon programs, tools, and processes.
- Produce profound business recommendations and actionable insights by using a wide set of analytical tools to interpret customer data and make recommendations to maximize the potential of the assigned Selling Partners.
- Implement and track metrics to measure success of the sellers in your portfolio. Use these metrics to guide your work and uncover hidden areas of opportunity.
- Prepare and present performance deep dives to facilitate regular discussions around business progress, current challenges, and strategic plans with your Selling Partners.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the competitive environment, including knowledge of complementary and/or competing product offerings.
- Lead additional projects such as conducting competitive analysis, developing content, inventing processes, and tools to the benefit of our internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional or military experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in procurement, negotiation, sales, consulting, supply chain, product/project management, or marketing
- Experience within e-commerce or Retail fields
- Experience in selling nascent products/services into new markets
