We are partnering with a leading DIY brand to find an experienced Area Sales Manager for our Birmingham region.

This is a fantastic chance to join a dynamic team and take on a challenging role in developing the sales area within the company's goals and targets.

You will be responsible for managing all activities within your designated territory, focusing on the paint, woodcare, sundries, and specialty product groups within each account.

  • To achieve set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with business requirements.
  • Set and use Smart objectives daily.
  • Achieve budgets and maintain margins.
  • Develop area turnover according to company expectations.
  • Recognize and open new business opportunities within major accounts.
  • Negotiate and discuss business plans with customers.
  • Report back to the company as requested or required.
  • Analyse account data regularly and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Make local account presentations to customers.
  • Report all activity via the CRM system.
  • Attend trade/exhibition shows as necessary.
  • Manage brand Point of Sale (POS) across the territory.
  • Sell through new company products and promotions.
  • Manage and control business deadlines.
  • Represent the company professionally.
  • Communicate with trade end-users.

The ideal candidate will have experience selling FMCG, consumer durables, or DIY products.

They should be able to work independently and as part of a team, making decisions within company guidelines.

Able to manage and prioritize tasks, working on their own initiative and being a team player.

Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail and communication/data management.
