Area Business Development Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Area Business Development Specialist to join our team in the London area. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for expanding our customer base within the designated territory, developing strong relationships with existing clients, and promoting VectorBuilder's offerings through various communication channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory to drive sales growth.
- Act as a primary point of contact for customers within the designated area, providing expert guidance on VectorBuilder's products and services.
- Communicate effectively with clients via email, phone, video call, webinar, virtual product shows/conferences to promote VectorBuilder's offerings.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to increase repeat business and referrals.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries regarding features, pricing, and additional services.
- Cultivate long-lasting client relationships built on trust, respect, and excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with sales representatives from different territories to share best practices and support a cohesive sales approach.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of VectorBuilder's products and services.
- Work closely with internal departments to provide high-level technical support and guidance to customers.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction levels through exceptional customer service.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).
- High self-motivation, ability to work independently, and as a collaborative team player.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and sales skills.
- Ability to interact with customers with confidence and ease.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail.
Estimated Salary: £65,000 per annum, inclusive of quarterly performance commission.
