About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Childcare Skills Coach to join our team. As a Residential Childcare Apprenticeship Trainer, you will be responsible for supporting and coaching apprentices within Residential Children's Services, helping them to achieve their apprenticeship qualification.

This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work from home and conduct 121 training sessions in the workplace. You will be using Microsoft Teams to support your learners remotely and preparing them for face-to-face visits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the full apprenticeship standard, including Functional Skills, with the support of our internal team and modern technology.
  • Support and coach apprentices to achieve their apprenticeship qualification.
  • Conduct 121 training sessions in the workplace and use Microsoft Teams to support learners remotely.
  • Prep learners for face-to-face visits and provide ongoing support.
Requirements
  • Solid occupational competence in a Management role within the Residential Childcare sector.
  • Hold a minimum Level 5 Residential Children's related qualification.
  • Functional Skills L2.
  • Ideal qualifications include a recognised Assessors qualification (A1, TAQA, CAVA etc) or a recognised teacher qualification.
