People Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced People Operations Advisor to join our People Team on a fixed-term basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of colleagues across the Charity and contribute to the delivery of our ambitious strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide operational HR advice and guidance to managers and Heads of departments to support the successful management, development, and retention of employees.
- Work collaboratively with the People Partner and Operations Manager to evaluate and manage employee life cycle activities, including probation, absence, conduct, capability, performance, and flexible working.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of HR programs, including the creation and improvement of policies, procedures, and guidance to ensure alignment with employment legislation and our organisational culture, values, and ways of working.
- Input and maintain accurate people data into the HRIS system, prepare and collate HR metrics and trend information for business reporting.
- CIPD qualified (level 5) or with experience working at this level.
- Strong people skills and integrity, with the ability to communicate effectively with others and build credibility.
- Excellent attention to detail and experience of administering and maintaining accurate records and dealing with contracts and contract changes.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, with a good understanding of GDPR and its application to employee data.
