About the Role

As Head of Global Transaction Banking for Europe, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic growth and profitability of our Treasury Management Office (TMO) within the region. Your focus will be on cultivating a customer-centric culture that deepens existing client relationships and expands our reach into new transaction banking opportunities across all GTB products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the development and profitable expansion of the TMO in your assigned region, fostering a customer-focused environment to nurture existing client relationships and secure new transaction banking business across our comprehensive product portfolio.
  • Champion business development initiatives that align with both business line and Group strategies. This includes focusing on core markets and solutions while identifying and influencing the creation of new products that meet evolving client and market demands. Drive any new initiatives within your region to ensure successful implementation.
  • Lead a diverse team comprising industry-aligned treasury management officers (TMOs) and product solutions specialists (PSS). Provide coaching and guidance to TMOs who serve as the primary transaction banking contact for CFOs, Treasurers, VPs of Finance, and Controllers. Collaborate closely with other Bank partners to ensure seamless client service.
  • Foster strong partnerships with key stakeholders across various departments, including Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Treasury, Global Risk Management, Capital Markets, Investment Banking, and corporate functions both within your region and globally.
  • Establish yourself as a thought leader in the market by engaging with prospects, clients, and industry peers through on-site and virtual meetings, conferences, roundtables, and client events. Share your expertise across a diverse portfolio of industries.
  • Leverage GTB Europe's capabilities to deliver exceptional cross-border service to primary clients at both the parent and subsidiary levels. Support BNS Group subsidiaries/affiliates & branches in delivering outstanding service to their respective customers within their regions.

About You

You possess extensive experience in transaction banking, including global cash management, liquidity management, trade & working capital solutions, and corporate banking. Your deep understanding of transaction banking products, credit and risk processes, and pricing philosophy will be invaluable in this role.

  • Proven success in sales, product/account management, legal, or credit risk analysis roles within a banking environment.
  • A track record of effectively managing teams and exceeding stated growth and return objectives.
  • A strong commitment to managing operational and enterprise risk in a developed and highly regulated market.
  • Minimum degree qualification in a relevant subject.
  • Knowledge of Spanish would be desirable but not essential.
