Support Worker Assistant

Job Description:
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in South Yorkshire. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to young people in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day care and support to young people, promoting their well-being and helping them thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging young people to develop life skills and achieve personal goals.
- Assist with daily activities, including educational and recreational pursuits, tailored to each young person's needs.
- Implement individual care plans, working collaboratively with the team to ensure consistent and high-quality care.
- Support young people in developing emotional and social skills, promoting a positive and empowering environment.
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for working with young people and making a positive impact on their lives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people and colleagues.
- Empathy, patience, and a nurturing approach to support young individuals' emotional and social needs.
- Experience in a similar role or working with young people in a residential setting is advantageous.
- A commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive environment, with a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
