Job Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our Eastfield respite service team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to individuals with a learning disability, enabling them to live a more comfortable, dignified, and liberated life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals to live independently, including budget management, paying bills, and cooking healthy meals.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, promoting their understanding of the world around them.
  • Encourage community and social inclusion by supporting individuals to access local events and activities.
  • Provide personal care, including prompting medication and assisting with bathing and using the bathroom.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills, a caring and patient personality, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need to be able to pass an enhanced DBS check and provide suitable references.
