Job Details

We are seeking a friendly and patient Care Support Worker to join our team at a respite service based in Staveley. As a Care Support Worker, you will work alongside an experienced team to deliver high-quality care to residents within the service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all care plans are followed to provide the appropriate level of support to service users.
  • Undertake personal care duties and observation checks to maintain the safety and hygiene of residents.
  • Participate in activities to keep residents engaged and entertained during their stay.
  • Ensure the safe use of moving and handling equipment to assist residents around the property.
  • Oversee the health and safety of service users under your care.
  • Undertake basic cleaning duties, following relevant cleaning rotas and safety procedures.
Working Hours

Shifts are offered every week and can be on various days between Monday and Sunday. The pay rate for this role is £11.44 per hour for hours worked between 07:00 and 19:00, and £15.22 per hour for hours worked between 19:00 and 07:00.

Requirements
  • Be able to provide 2 years of professional referencing, including 1 from your most recent employer.
  • Hold in-date mandatory training certificates, including Practical Moving and Handling Training.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 4 months or registered on the Update Service.
  • Have a minimum of 12 months paid UK work experience working within a care home or nursing home setting.
  • Have a full, up-to-date CV with a minimum of 5 years of employment history.

If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, we can help you with this. We offer online training available at a subsidised fee, and the certificates are yours to keep.
