About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at an inclusive school in Chesterfield. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs, ensuring they feel safe and supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide care and support to students in a residential setting.
  • Assist students with their daily routines, including morning and evening activities.
  • Support students with their educational and personal development.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive environment in accordance with the school's policies.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning and review of student support plans.
  • Work closely with other staff members to ensure the well-being of all students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Residential Support Worker or in a similar role is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting young people.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
  • An updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service.
