Care Support Worker

About the Role:
We are seeking a friendly and patient support worker to join our team at a respite service based in Staveley. As a support worker, you will be working alongside an experienced and friendly team to deliver high-quality care to the residents within the service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all care plans are followed to provide the level of support appropriate to each service user.
- Undertake personal care duties and observation checks to ensure the residents' safety and hygiene.
- Participate in activities to keep the residents engaged and entertained during their stay.
- Ensure the safe use of moving and handling equipment to assist the residents as required.
- Oversee the health and safety of the service users under your care.
- Undertake basic cleaning duties, following relevant cleaning rotas and safety procedures.
Working Hours:
Shifts are offered every week and can be on various days between Monday and Sunday. The pay rate for this role is £11.44 per hour for hours worked between 07:00 and 19:00, and £15.22 per hour for hours worked between 19:00 and 07:00.
Requirements:
- Be able to provide 2 years of professional referencing, including 1 from your most recent employer.
- Hold in-date mandatory training certificates, including Practical moving and handling training.
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 4 months or registered on the update service.
- Have a minimum of 12 months paid UK work experience working within a care home or nursing home setting.
- Have a full, up-to-date CV with a minimum of 5 years of employment history.
