The estimated salary for this permanent role is up to £44,030 per annum.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To lead a team of HCPC Registered and unregistered staff, ensuring the operational delivery of a Children's Social Care Service in accordance with legislation and Local policies, delivering best outcomes for children.
  • To enable and challenge others to develop their knowledge base and skills, making evidence-based judgments, including improved independent decision-making regarding risk.
  • To manage a team, including individual performance management and professional development of staff, establishing regular supervision arrangements, mentoring, coaching, setting development targets, and balancing ongoing training needs.
  • To model critical reflective skills in management, practice, or organizational supervision settings to enhance best practice.
  • To stay updated on good practice guidance, current legislation, Government initiatives, and local policies and procedures to disseminate within the team.
  • To write complex reports and briefing papers on policy and operational issues for the Team Manager, Service Manager, or Head of Service, actively participating in meetings, case conferences, task forces, service, and project management groups.
  • To ensure team members meet expectations related to the council's statutory responsibilities, policies, and standards, maintaining Equality and Diversity policies and procedures.
  • To participate in overall management and development of the service through Team Meetings and Service-wide meetings.
  • Continual professional development.
