Gap Construction is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our team on a large residential development in the picturesque city of Cambridge.

We are offering a competitive salary in the range of £35,000 - £45,000, dependent on experience, making this an attractive offer for individuals looking to advance their careers.

About the Role

As an Assistant Site Manager with Gap Construction, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Site Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring that all activities are carried out efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Assisting in managing the fit-out process for RC frame residential buildings, ensuring smooth coordination of trades including flooring, joinery, kitchen installation, painting, and decorating.
  • Coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines.
  • Regularly liaising with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure work is progressing as planned and any issues are addressed in a timely manner.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Previous experience working in a similar site management role, ideally on RC framed residential buildings.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage several tasks at once.
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
