Job Summary

Mondrian Alpha is seeking a skilled Research Data Analyst to contribute to our team's success. As a Research Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing large datasets to support our research activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Management: Set up and manage data trials, subscriptions, and ingestion processes to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Data Analysis: Perform in-depth data analysis using Python, Jupyter, SQL, and Tableau to identify trends and insights.
  • Dashboard and Visualization: Design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations to communicate research findings.
  • Data Quality Management: Monitor and maintain data quality check libraries to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Research Support: Provide data support to research economists, including data scouting, profiling, and feedback.

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 3 years of data experience working for a buyside firm.
  • Technical Skills: Strong coding skills in SQL and Python, with proficiency in advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Data Management Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of data lifecycle management and data consumption.
  • Research Data Expertise: Experience working with alternative and macroeconomic research datasets, and familiarity with vendors such as Macrobond, Haver, Bloomberg, etc.
