About the Role

Mondrian Alpha, a leading financial services firm, is seeking a highly skilled Research Data Analyst to join their team. As a Research Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's research activities by managing and analyzing large datasets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Management and Analysis: Manage and analyze complex datasets using Python, SQL, and Tableau to provide insights that inform business decisions.
  • Data Quality and Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data by implementing data quality checks and monitoring vendor data quality.
  • Research Support: Provide research support to economists by scouting for new data sources, profiling vendors, and creating dashboards and visualizations to support research activities.
  • Work Planning and Prioritization: Plan and prioritize work according to company objectives, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.

Requirements

  • Experience in Buyside Data: At least 3 years of experience working with data in a buyside firm, with a strong understanding of how organizations consume, lifecycle, and manage their data.
  • Technical Skills: Strong coding skills in SQL and Python, with proficiency in advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Research Data Expertise: Experience working with alternative and macroeconomic research datasets, and familiarity with vendors such as Macrobond, Haver, Bloomberg, etc.
