Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Research Data Analyst to join our team. As a Research Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our research economists by setting up data trials, managing subscriptions, and performing data analysis using Python, Jupyter, SQL, and Tableau.
Key Responsibilities- Data Trials and Subscriptions: Establish data trials and manage subscriptions of alternative datasets for research economists, ensuring seamless access to high-quality data.
- Data Ingestion and Publication: Ingest and publish datasets using our proprietary platform, leveraging Databricks and Dremio to optimize data processing and analytics.
- Data Quality Management: Develop and maintain data quality check libraries, monitoring vendor data quality to enhance performance and accuracy.
- Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis using Python, Jupyter, SQL, and Tableau, providing actionable insights to support research activities.
- Dashboard and Visualization: Design and develop dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate research findings and support business decisions.
- Data Scouting: Identify new data sources, profile vendors, and provide expert feedback to research economists on the data landscape.
- Work Planning: Prioritize work according to company objectives, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
- Status Reporting: Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on project progress and research findings.
- Buyside Data Experience: A minimum of 3 years of data experience working for a buyside firm, with a strong understanding of data management and analysis.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in data analysis and visualization tools.
- Data Management Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of data lifecycle management, including data ingestion, processing, and storage.
