About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced student welfare manager to join our sixth form team. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students to achieve their academic and personal goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the academy values are embedded in the day-to-day experience and conduct of the pupils. You will also work closely with other teachers and leaders to secure excellent academic and social outcomes for our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • To coordinate and support year groups' activities, including reward, assemblies, social times, supervised studies, and lesson transitions.
  • To provide cover supervision for tutor groups, On Tour, and Seclusion when needed.
  • To mentor and support pupils in their learning, encouraging positive attitudes and behavior in and around school.
  • To support students around issues regarding their welfare and safeguarding.
  • To work closely with the Head of Year to develop a strong culture and ethos, exemplified by high expectations, exemplary behavior, and exceptional attitudes to learning.
  • To provide pastoral care for all students in the cohort, working with teachers, leaders, and families to promote students' academic, social, and emotional wellbeing.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £26,441.69 per annum, paid pro rata over 39 weeks. In addition, we provide twice as many training days as standard and a generous pension scheme.

Our academy is easily accessible from central, north, and east London, as well as surrounding areas. There is free on-site parking for staff.
