Job Title: Mental Health Pharmacist
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Pharmacist to join our team at Hunter AHP. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to make a meaningful impact on patient care in a hospital ward setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert pharmaceutical care to patients in mental health wards.
- Conduct medication reviews and optimize pharmacotherapy for individuals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient management.
- Monitor and manage the side effects of psychotropic medications.
- Educate and counsel patients and healthcare staff on medication use.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a Mental Health Pharmacist.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Strong knowledge of mental health medications and their management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
