About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Administrator to join our team in Stockport. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and supporting various accounting activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will also have prior experience in accounts payable/receivable and invoice processing, and hold an AAT qualification or equivalent in accounting or finance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Processing invoices, expense claims, and other financial documents accurately and efficiently.
  • Verifying and reconciling invoices and statements with purchase orders and receipts.
  • Maintaining accounts payable and receivable records in a timely manner.
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Performing data entry tasks related to financial transactions and ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Communicating with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding payment-related queries and discrepancies.
  • Assisting in resolving billing discrepancies and disputes.
  • Monitoring and tracking outstanding payments and following up on overdue accounts.
  • Supporting the finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as required.
