Field Sales Specialist

Job Overview:
This role supports Account Managers across the UK with technical and application support for the qPCR & ddPCR range of products, at all stages of the selling process.
The successful candidate will work with the full UK team of 8 account managers in identifying rtPCR, and subsequently, ddPCR instrument and reagent leads throughout the region and developing these through meetings, presentations, and demonstrations to present a strong Bio-Rad solution to the customer.
Upon a successful outcome, the specialist will also provide post-sales support in the form of training, application support, and results interpretation and troubleshooting where required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with Account Managers to identify, develop, and close sales across the region
- Providing post-sales support and training to new customers and existing install base to maximise revenue through instrumentation
- Attending and contributing to exhibitions and seminars locally and nationally
- Bringing together information on new products and applications to aid Account Manager understanding and develop sales opportunities
- Giving feedback on market knowledge developed in the field to the team and marketing team
Requirements:
- Strong team ethic and ability to work alone where necessary
- Flexibility and collaborative approach with prioritisation skills
- Strong scientific knowledge in specialist areas, with ability to take the lead on further knowledge
- Good coaching skills and background in Life Science
- Ability to travel across South UK territory, with occasional travel to UK North and Europe
- Strong Laboratory background in Molecular Biology (qPCR/ddPCR) and selling and presentation skills
