About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction projects, including cost control, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Control & Budgeting: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost control and financial forecasting.
- Negotiation: Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure the best possible prices for our clients.
- Subcontract Orders: Manage subcontract orders, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project timelines.
- Valuations: Conduct regular valuations to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
- Cost Value Reconciliation: Reconcile costs and values to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Subcontracts Management: Manage subcontractors, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project timelines.
- Variation: Manage variations to contracts, ensuring accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
- Final Accounts: Prepare final accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
- Benchmarking & Analysis of Build Costs: Conduct benchmarking and analysis of build costs to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
- Cost Engineering: Develop and implement cost engineering strategies to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
Requirements:
- Degree (or HNC) qualified Quantity Surveyor: A degree (or HNC) in Quantity Surveying or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 4 years of practical experience: A minimum of 4 years of practical experience in quantity surveying is required.
- Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a Housebuilder: Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a housebuilder is essential.
- Demonstrable experience of overseeing sizeable schemes: Demonstrable experience of overseeing sizeable schemes for a housebuilder or main contractor is required.
- Experience in Contract/Quantity Surveying and construction budgets: Experience in contract/quantity surveying and construction budgets is required.
Package:
- £40,000 - £50,000 Basic (depending on experience) + Package: A competitive salary package, including a basic salary of £40,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience) and a package of benefits.
