Key Responsibilities:- Cost Control and Budgeting: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are accurately estimated and controlled throughout the project lifecycle.
- Negotiation: Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best possible prices for our projects.
- Subcontract Orders: Manage the procurement and administration of subcontract orders, ensuring that they are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
- Valuations: Conduct regular valuations of project costs, ensuring that they are accurately reflected in our financial records.
- Cost Value Reconciliation: Reconcile project costs with the original budget, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or variances.
- Subcontracts Management: Manage the administration of subcontract agreements, ensuring that they are compliant with our company policies and procedures.
- Variation: Manage and administer variations to project scope, ensuring that they are accurately reflected in our financial records.
- Final Accounts: Prepare and submit final accounts for our projects, ensuring that they are accurate and compliant with our company policies and procedures.
- Benchmarking and Analysis of Build Costs: Conduct regular benchmarking and analysis of build costs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
- Cost Engineering: Develop and implement cost engineering strategies to optimize project costs and improve efficiency.
- Qualifications: Degree (or HNC) qualified Quantity Surveyor.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of practical experience in a Quantity Surveying role, with a proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, mixed tenure schemes, and contract/quantity surveying.
- Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 basic salary (depending on experience) + package.
- Discretionary Bonus: Eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on individual and company performance.
- Progression Opportunities: Opportunities for career progression and professional development, with a clear path to Senior Quantity Surveyor within 12 months.
