About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Financial Ledger Specialist. This is a temporary role based in our Head Office, Longtown.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage your own ledger with an approximate value of £2 million, comprising 750-1000 customers.
  2. Prioritize your workload and contact customers to bring in cash and meet monthly targets.
  3. Allocate incoming payments accurately to customer accounts.
  4. Communicate effectively with head office departments, branches nationwide, and external bodies.
  5. Liaise with regional sales offices to resolve invoice queries and raise credit notes according to company procedures.
  6. Make informed credit limit decisions for customers and maintain up-to-date credit limits.
  7. Maintain detailed ledgers and follow set procedures to notify potential bad debts.

Requirements:

  • Experience in all aspects of credit control.
  • Professional telephone manner.
  • High degree of accuracy.
  • Confident using Excel spreadsheets and Outlook.
