Servicing Patients with Complex Needs

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Substance Use Clinical Lead Nurse to join our team at Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of the Liaison Team, you will be responsible for delivering specialist alcohol & other drug misuse assessments and treatment interventions to service users on inpatient wards and Emergency Department of Chesterfield Royal Hospital (CRH).

Your primary responsibility will be to manage a caseload of complex liaison cases related to substance misuse or alcohol. You will need to demonstrate robust clinical skills and knowledge around the acute management of substance misuse and alcohol withdrawal in an in-patient setting.

To succeed in this role, you must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams. You will also need to have a thorough understanding of the Key Principles of Liaison Psychiatry and the ability to provide training on alcohol and drug misuse to colleagues.
