Job Opportunity: Substance Use Clinical Lead Nurse

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced NMC Registered Nurse to join the award-winning Liaison Team at Chesterfield Hospital as a Substance Use Clinical Lead Nurse. The successful candidate will have a passion for ensuring patients with alcohol or other drug misuse problems receive high-quality care during periods of hospitalisation.

The Substance Use Clinical Lead Nurse will work as part of the Liaison Team delivering specialist alcohol & other drug misuse assessments and treatment interventions to service users on inpatient wards and Emergency Department of Chesterfield Royal Hospital (CRH). This role requires strong clinical skills and knowledge around the acute management of substance misuse and alcohol withdrawal in an in-patient setting.

The ideal candidate will have experience of providing training on alcohol and drug misuse within the Liaison Team and to colleagues in the Acute hospital settings of CRH. They will also have the ability to co-ordinate and lead multi-professional teams, demonstrate robust clinical skills and knowledge, and ensure that all assessments take into account appropriate risk factors.
