The role of Senior High Intensity Therapist is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative service that fundamentally changes the way primary care psychological treatments are provided in Redbridge. You will be part of a large multi-professional workforce that significantly increases access to treatment for people with depression, anxiety, and other common mental health conditions within a Primary Care setting.

We are looking for applicants who have enthusiasm for working in a primary care setting, experience of working in the NHS and managing teams, adaptability, enjoyment of variety, ability to work independently, and understanding of the importance of team working. Essential criteria include NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy, fully qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, BABCP Accredited CBT Therapist, registration with BABCP and/or HCPC, evidence of recent and relevant CPD activity, CBT Therapist qualification, and additional advanced training in CBT, EMDR, or other therapeutic interventions applied to a primary care service.

Key responsibilities include providing assessments and CBT interventions (individual and group-based) to people with common mental health problems, providing clinical supervision to High Intensity Practitioners working within the service, line managing staff, experience of working in adult mental health services, 4 years recent post-qualification experience in a designated post within IAPT Services or Primary Care Services, experience of providing teaching and training to other professionals, including assistant psychologists, experience of supervising qualified practitioners and/or students/trainee psychologists, experience of networking with organisations outside the NHS, and awareness of NHS Plan, NSF, and clinical governance priorities.

This post attracts a salary range of £43,141 - £72,619 per annum, depending on experience, plus a High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £6,451 and a maximum payment of £10,829) pro rata for part-time staff.
