About the Role

Zest is seeking a highly skilled HSEQ Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, clients, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective HSEQ strategies and policies to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to operational teams on health, safety, and environmental matters.
  • Support the implementation of the HSEQ Management System across all business functions to ensure compliance and maintenance of ISO certifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for improvement and working collaboratively with other departments to address recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including employees, clients, and contractors.
  • Monitor and measure HSEQ performance through audits, site visits, and scheduled meetings.
  • Embed proactive incident prevention behaviors across all teams through hazard observation awareness.
  • Develop and deliver HSEQ awareness training to operational teams and the wider business.
  • Provide calm reactive response to incidents or accidents, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.
  • Support the monitoring, maintenance, and improvement of HSEQ systems, including management systems, reporting systems, and legal registers.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or equivalent.
  • 2 years health and safety, environmental, and/or quality experience in a similar industry.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with little direction and with a sense of energy, ownership, and personal commitment.
  • Willingness to learn and try something new.
