About the Role

Zest is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, clients, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Management
    • Develop and implement effective health and safety policies, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
    • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and best practices.
  • Environmental Management
    • Develop and implement environmental policies, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential environmental hazards and risks.
    • Provide training and guidance to employees on environmental procedures and best practices.
  • Quality Management
    • Develop and implement quality management policies, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential quality hazards and risks.
    • Provide training and guidance to employees on quality procedures and best practices.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting
    • Investigate and report on all incidents, near misses, and accidents in a timely and thorough manner.
    • Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with employees, clients, and contractors to ensure open communication and collaboration.
    • Provide regular updates and reports to management on health, safety, and environmental performance.
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or equivalent.
    • 2 years health and safety, environmental, and/or quality experience in a similar industry.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation and industry standards.
    • Experience with auditing and quality management systems.
  • Behaviours
