Role Details

We are seeking a Mortuary Support Assistant to join our team in Aylesbury. This role involves assisting funeral directors with various tasks related to funeral provision, providing exceptional care and support to families during difficult times.

Responsibilities
  • Support funeral directors with daily tasks, including attending funerals and preparing coffins.
  • Assist with removing the deceased from their place of death to our premises.
  • Update and manage the mortuary register to ensure accurate records.
  • Prepare coffins before funerals by fitting out and engraving nameplates.
  • Present the deceased in the Chapel of Rest, adhering to high standards of dignity and respect.
  • Prepare graves and plots for ashes interments, including replacing memorial tablets.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of our premises, focusing on key areas such as mortuaries, preparation rooms, and chapels.
