Job Summary

The Medical Receptionist/Administrator will provide administrative support to the healthcare team at Gillmoss Medical Centre, ensuring the smooth operation of the practice and delivering excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide administrative support to the healthcare team, including maintenance of patient records, processing prescriptions, and managing appointments.
  2. Offer excellent customer service to patients, responding to their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  3. Manage the practice's front desk, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for patients.
  4. Process and distribute mail, maintain confidential records, and perform other administrative tasks as required.
  5. Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and care.

Requirements

  • Good customer service skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Basic IT skills and knowledge of EMIS Web.
  • Experience of working in a GP practice, reception experience in an NHS setting, and knowledge of EMIS Web are desirable.
