Job Summary
The Medical Receptionist/Administrator will provide administrative support to the healthcare team at Gillmoss Medical Centre, ensuring the smooth operation of the practice and delivering excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the healthcare team, including maintenance of patient records, processing prescriptions, and managing appointments.
- Offer excellent customer service to patients, responding to their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage the practice's front desk, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for patients.
- Process and distribute mail, maintain confidential records, and perform other administrative tasks as required.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and care.
Requirements
- Good customer service skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Basic IT skills and knowledge of EMIS Web.
- Experience of working in a GP practice, reception experience in an NHS setting, and knowledge of EMIS Web are desirable.
