Role Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Clinical Lead to drive, innovate and deliver on strategic development, clinical expertise and quality in our fast-paced Hyper-Acute Stroke service.

The successful post holder will be a senior clinician from a nursing, therapies or medical background, providing operational and strategic leadership in the development of stroke services to achieve a sustainable high-quality patient service. They will coordinate the 6 strands of the Integrated Service Delivery Network (ISDN) for Stroke, ensuring effective pathways for patients, consistent care and efficient use of resources.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support, coaching, and mentorship for all professionals working within our stroke services.

  • Input clinical expertise into the education needs and development across the whole stroke pathway, from prevention to life after stroke.

  • Evaluate key stroke clinical priorities via the clinical services workstreams and ensure national performance indicators are achieved.

  • Develop strategies as stroke medicine and rehabilitation evolve over time, collaborating with stakeholders and utilising end-to-end centralised stroke data.

  • Promote innovations and developments at regional and national levels through presentations and forums.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including opportunities for career growth and professional development, as well as a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will be a registered clinician with a relevant Professional qualification, postgraduate training, and extensive experience in Stroke services. They will demonstrate evidence of clinical leadership, teaching/presentations at post-graduate level, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
