We are currently recruiting for a Senior Clinical Coder & Administrator to join our team at Primary Care 24. Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for summarizing and coding patient records into EMIS Web, adhering to practice protocols. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical coding and administration, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement clinical coding and administrative procedures to ensure high-quality data collection.
  • Collaborate with management and clinical teams to ensure understanding of the coding process.
  • Plan and prioritize workload to meet performance and quality targets.
  • Liaise with medical professionals, patients, and external partners for complex queries and complaints.
  • Maintain coding adherence to Enhanced Services, Quality Outcome Framework, and Local Quality Contracts.
  • Conduct audits and quality checks to ensure accurate patient records.
  • Identify and correct discrepancies in coding to maintain consistent and high-quality data collection.
  • Process correspondence received, both digital and paper formats, accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • IMersey Clinical Coding Qualification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of clinical coding and EMIS workflow protocols.
  • Good working knowledge of medical terminology.

Salary and Benefits
