Opportunity to Make a Difference

We are seeking an experienced Senior Psychologist to join our team at Gold Coast Health, working in our newly developed Secure Mental Health Unit. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services and make a positive impact on the lives of others.

As a Senior Psychologist, you will provide leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes for consumers. Your expertise and experience will enable you to design and deliver effective mental health interventions, leading to improved well-being and quality of life for those in your care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based psychometric assessments and treatment recommendations
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes for consumers
  • Provide efficient, responsive, and recovery-oriented mental health care
  • Exercise independent clinical reasoning and professional judgement

To be successful in this position, you will require:

Qualifications and Requirements
  1. Tertiary degree in Psychology
  2. A graduate certificate or greater within a relevant area is highly desirable
  3. Registration with AHPRA
  4. Driver licence
  5. Evidence of vaccination, or ability to be vaccinated against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Hepatitis B
  6. Tuberculosis screening, if required
  7. Declaration of serious discipline history
  8. Criminal History Screening (cost covered by GCH)

Estimated Salary Range: $128,169 - $137,918 per annum
