Primary Care Coding Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinical Coder & Administrator to join our team at Primary Care 24. As a Senior Clinical Coder, you will be responsible for summarizing and coding relevant information from patients' clinical records, hospital correspondence, and other sources into EMIS Web.
This is a 6-month fixed term contract, providing an opportunity to work on high-quality data collection and reporting in primary care. You will work closely with the management and clinical team to ensure accurate and consistent clinical coding practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Code and Summarize Patient Information: Work strictly in accordance with practice protocols to summarize and code relevant information from patients' clinical records, hospital correspondence, and other sources into EMIS Web.
- Collaborate with the Team: Assist in the continuing development and improvement of the clinical coding and administrative team to ensure high-quality data can be collected and produced with minimum delay.
- Plan and Prioritize Workload: Plan and prioritize your own workload to meet performance and quality targets and advise the line manager of any hindrance to achieving these targets in a timely manner.
As a successful candidate, you will have excellent communication skills, patience, and empathy when interacting with patients via telephone. You must also possess a good working knowledge of medical terminology and clinical coding protocols.
