Dovehaven Care Homes is recruiting for a Elderly Care Specialist to join our team at Millbrook House Nursing Home in Southport. We cater for up to 60 residents and specialise in dementia care.

About the Job

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of care and service towards our residents, relatives, visitors, and colleagues. Your key responsibilities include providing personal and practical care to our residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and respect.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Committed to providing a high standard of care, promoting dignity and respect.
  • Previous experience working within an elderly care setting.
  • Team player but able to work on your own initiative.
  • Dependable, able to work well under pressure, and flexible to meet the needs of the home.
  • Previous supervisory experience within a care/nursing home setting and experience of working with the elderly.
  • A minimum of a NVQ level 2 in health & social care along with a dedicated passion for providing exceptional care.
Salary and Benefits
  • Estimated salary: $35,000 - $45,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
  • 28 days annual leave (pro rata).
