Autism Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Teaching Assistant to support a child with Autism in our specialist school. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health challenges.
The school provides a unique and supportive environment that meets the needs of students with Autism, Anxiety, Depression, and Trauma. Our staff are calm, compassionate, and good at building relationships with the children.
Key Responsibilities
- Work 1:1 with the child to help them transition into the school and become accustomed to the routine of the school day
- Aid the child in transitioning into the main school once they are ready
- Provide academic support and encouragement
Requirements
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Empathetic and able to build relationships quickly
- Clear communicator
- Hold an Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one
Salary and Benefits
This is a part-time role with a salary of £85-£100 per day, paid term-time only. You will work Monday-Friday from 8:30am-3:30pm with 5 hours of work per week.
