About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled School Maintenance Specialist to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our school buildings, grounds, and facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining health and safety standards, liaising with contractors for complex repairs and maintenance, and maintaining records related to building maintenance and health and safety inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the general upkeep of school buildings, grounds, and facilities
• Manage and maintain health and safety standards, including carrying out regular risk assessments and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
• Liaise with contractors for more complex repairs and maintenance
• Maintain records related to building maintenance and health and safety inspections
• Flexible approach to work, including early starts and the ability to respond to emergencies outside of normal working hours
• Experience in maintaining building systems such as heating, lighting, and security
• Ability to carry out risk assessments and manage compliance with school policies

Essential Requirements:
• Enhanced DBS check on the update service, or the willingness to apply for one
• A flexible, hands-on approach with a positive attitude to all tasks

In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of £52,000 per year, depending on experience.
