About the Role:

  • Aspire People seeks a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to maintain our school premises to a high standard.
  • This involves carrying out routine and reactive maintenance tasks, overseeing general upkeep of buildings, grounds, and facilities, and managing health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and repair of school facilities, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
  • Liaising with contractors for complex repairs and maintenance.
  • Managing and maintaining health and safety standards, including risk assessments and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintaining records related to building maintenance and health and safety inspections.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably within a school or similar environment.
  • Excellent DIY/maintenance skills, including plumbing, electrical, and basic carpentry.
  • Flexible approach to work, including early starts and ability to respond to emergencies outside normal working hours.
  • Experience in maintaining building systems such as heating, lighting, and security.
