About the Role

The Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Maternity and Neonatal Digital Transformation Lead. This role will be responsible for leading the digital transformation of maternity and neonatal services, ensuring that they are safe, effective, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a digital strategy for maternity and neonatal services, aligned with the Trust's overall digital transformation programme.
  • Lead the replacement of the current maternity information system and the upgrade of the existing neonatal information system.
  • Work with service users, staff, and the Digital Maternity team to develop and share a strategic vision for how technology will enhance practices, clinical quality, and patient safety.
  • Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to support Departmental, Divisional, and Trust developments in Digital Technology.
  • Identify opportunities for maternity and neonatal services to be included within Trustwide initiatives and ensure that departmental benefits are realised.
  • Support the digital empowerment of patients and citizens, and drive continuous clinical process improvement in the maternity and neonatal services focused on patient outcomes and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Registered health care professional eligible to practice.
  • First level degree in related healthcare discipline or substantial experiential equivalence.
  • Evidence of a Master's degree relevant to role or equivalent experience.
  • Clinical Safety Officer Certification or working towards.
  • Project management qualification or relevant experience.
  • Post-graduate management qualification in the area of digital healthcare or equivalent experience.
